2024 was a year that tested the resolve of SFTT to continue to support our service members, veterans and their families. We said goodbye to board members and founders, Chad and Tammy Regnier at the end of 2023, and Shawn Flavin and Dan Bokinskie in 2024 whom we are eternally grateful for their leadership and dedication. We also said farewell to board member Spencer Fenske. However, in 2024 SFFT welcomed Chuck Haas with the Hugo Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Network, Ron Bray with WSB and Jennifer Suarez; spouse to SFFT President Ed Suarez to the board. Chuck will celebrate 15 years of supporting military families in March 2024, Ron and WSB have been supporting SFFT for over a decade, and Jennifer brings nearly 36 years of military family experience and knows firsthand the challenges Minnesota families face supporting their military loved ones.

With the turnover in the board, SFFT hosted one event in 2024 at Wild Wings of Oneka. It was the largest single turnout in SFFT history! There were 40 teams registered and nearly 160 shooters. Collectively we raised enough to distribute over $60,000! Your support helped our largest recipient and most impactful non-profit, the Minnesota Military Family Foundation (MMFF) which continues to help currently serving military members and their families throughout Minnesota. In addition, we continued our support of the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans (MACV) – the leaders in solving veteran homelessness, St. Cloud Stand Down which offers assistance to veterans in need, the Veterans Resiliency Project which offers light therapy for the treatment of PTSD, Recovery Community Network which offers substance abuse recovery for veterans and the Hugo Yellow Ribbon Network which hosts pheasant shoot for veterans and their youth to honor their service and sacrifices.

Because of your generosity we have raised over $400,000 since 2009. You’ve helped countless military families in need have the basic necessities such as food, diapers, clothing, and heat for their homes this past winter; as well as veterans in crisis that need assistance with housing, and those suffering from PTSD. We truly appreciate your support and thoughtfulness.

In 2025 we are back to hosting two events, so mark your calendars for Tuesday, August 19th at Wild Wings of Oneka-Hugo, MN and Tuesday, September 30th at Rice Creek LeBlanc’s Hunting Preserve near Little Falls, MN. Registration will open soon! Visit www.shootforthetroopsmn.com to learn how you can support SFTT!
